Reasons why God lets us to endure in pain

Now, let us take a look at some of the reasons why God lets us

to endure in pain on this earth:

      1. To fulfill prophecy

May I remind you that God's path is not always the easiest

path. Along the path comes trials and temptations. The bible says

"because to you it hath been granted in the behalf of Christ, not

only to believe in him, but also to suffer on his behalf"(phil 1:29).

So you see, as children of Christ, we shall have good moments but

we shall also receive pain on his behalf, same as he(Christ)

received pain on God's behalf. However, the pain is only physical.

As born again(saved) christians, we have spiritual joy and peace of

mind which is for eternity.

2. To make us stronger

Recall that it is not God's will to hurt his children because he

loves us so much. However, whenever satan tempts us, God uses it

for a greater purpose. It is not God's will for you to be tempted but

when temptation comes from the devil, he lets you go through it so

that you get experienced and stronger. And next time, you will

know how to use the holy spirit to defeat something you have

already seen before and then, you will be able to deliver others. It

kind of ties with that old saying that "what doesn't kill you makes

you stronger". Therefore, as children of God, we should count it all

joy when we are attacked by the devil because the truth is 'the

devil ignores folks who do not have a personal relationship with

Jesus'.

3. To get the experience and then help others:

To respond to God's calling implies you are ready for training.

When God calls you, he wants to use you to help(and save) others;

and you can' t do that without having some experiences of pain and

struggle. For instance God lets the demons to attack you in order

that you would get that experience so that when you are about to

cast demons out of others, you would know exactly how the

victims feel. You will be like "my sister/brother, I know how you

feel because I have seen this before. you demon, I command you to

get out of this body in the mighty name of Jesus". The bible says

"the spirit led Jesus to the wilderness to be tempted by the devil"

(Matt 4:1). So you see, when the holy spirit leads you some where

so you could be tempted by the devil, it is for a great purpose i.e to

get you ready for bigger challenges.  Amen!

The bible says that Suffering produces endurance. The ESV

bible says and I quote "we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that

suffering produces endurance"(Rom 5:3).

4. To prove to satan that we can defeat him.

Recall that God is the creator of heaven and earth(Gen 1:1).

Also, God created all living things in the universe. That is how

powerful God is. On the other hand, to the best of my knowledge,

satan has not created anything. That is how little and weak he is.

So, satan can't even stand 1% of God's power. Therefore,

technically speaking, this spiritual warfare is not even between

satan and God. satan is too little to get into a war with GOD. This

war is between satan and us; but in order to win it, we must use

that spiritual weapon(holy spirit) which God has already given us.

Will your teacher do your home work for you? Definitely not.

Instead, your teacher will give you material to study for your home

work and score well right? In the same way, God is our teacher and

we are his students. So, God has given us home work(assignment)

and a weapon(success tool) to pass this assignment(temptation

from the devil). Therefore, we are fighting God's battle which is

too little for him to fight. Shouldn't we be honored to be chosen by

God to fight his battle and win? I think it is a huge honor.

*5. The world is still corrupted by the fall of Adam and Eve.

The reason people are still suffering in the world is because  the

mistake if Adam and Eve has consequences which will continue

until the end of the world. Jesus came to restore dominion and

communion which man had lost to the devil, but some effects to

Adam's fall still take place such as pain at child birth, working

extra hard to put food on the table. etc.
